Fall 2010 High School League Info
DETBA is pleased to once again offer fall baseball for JV and Varsity level High School Teams. Please familiarize yourself with the following rules and policies.

1. No games will be scheduled unless all registration items are received. 2. Fall season for JV-V HS will begin Saturday September 11 and continue for seven (7) weeks. A season ending tournament (location and dates TBA) will be offered following the regular season schedule. 3. This is not a "select" league. Team names should correspond with the schools they represent (Longview, Pine Tree, Henderson, etc.). At least 70% of the roster must be comprised of players that attend that school. NOTE: DETBA and League Commissioner Steve Hart reserve the right to grant exceptions to this rule to serve the best interests of the league as deemed necessary. Every effort must be made to comply with this rule.
Umpires/games/rules: Home team is responsible for arranging two (2) umpires for each game. Each team shall pay one umpire prior to each game. If you are in the Longview area and want umpires scheduled for your games contact Steve Hart (903-720-4704). We highly recommend that you use umpires with experience officiating High School Baseball. DETBA Fall HS League follows High School Rules. EXCEPTION: Teams may bat the full roster if so desired provided it is declared by the coach prior to the game that he intends to do so. Full roster lineup must continue for the duration of the game if declared. Game designations and umpire fees for DETBA High School League are as follows: SINGLE GAMES: 7 inning game with 2:00 time limit: $70.00 per official. 9 inning game with 2:45 time limit: $95.00 per official. DOUBLEHEADERS: 5 inning games with 1:45 time limit: $55.00 per official 7 inning games with 2:00 time limit: $65.00 per official.
