The Deep East Texas Baseball Association is a non-profit select baseball organization centered in East Texas dedicated
to boys who love to play baseball. We pride ourselves in committing our work completely to these players
to provide the greatest playing environment available in our area.

FALL 2010 REGISTRATION DEADLINE: The absolute deadline for Fall 2010 Registration is Friday 8/6 at 5:00 PM. No teams can be accepted after this date. If you are planning on playing this Fall with DETBA please let us know ASAP and arrange to get your registration info to us. We will begin scheduling on 8/7 and no teams can be added or dropped after that time.
FALL 2010 GAME SCHEDULES: Target date for completion of Fall 2010 Schedules is Monday August 16. We will make every effort to have the schedules posted no later than 8/17. Please make sure your registration paperwork includes all information about shared fields or scheduling requests so that our information is accurate before we begin the scheduling process on 8/7. NEW ROSTER CONTROL CENTER COMING SOON TO DETBA.ORG:
This week, DETBA will roll out a new registration website as we move toward an all-electronic format for our teams’ roster control. The Roster Control Center will allow all teams to register and manage their team’s roster online in much the same way as large organizations such as USSSA and Super Series. Users will be able to register their teams, pay their DETBA fees, print their rosters and the rosters of other teams, and make necessary roster moves throughout the season. For the upcoming Fall season, we are asking all users to complete hard copies of their paperwork and also to enter their information online as part of our beta-testing. This will allow DETBA to finalize functionality of the new site and get it working properly for our move to ALL-DIGITAL roster management beginning Spring 2011. By offering this service to our teams, DETBA will remain ahead of any other baseball organization in our area and provide features that will make team management much easier for both our teams and for DETBA. Please take the time to use the site to digitally register your team once the features are available. Fall 2010 will be the last season we will use paper registration forms. We are excited to be able to offer this functionality as DETBA strives to continue to offer the best baseball experience anywhere for our teams and players.
TATER TOTE BOARD: To add your player's name to the Tater Tote Board, please e-mail us at oobjvb@sbcglobal.net. You must include the player's name, team name, and age group. Please submit each homer only once to avoid repeats and delays.

DETBA BASEBALLS:
DETBA game baseballs may be purchased at the season registration meeting or by contacting us at baseball@detba.org. Cost is $35/dozen.
AGE GROUPS: For a player to be eligible for a certain age group for the Fall 2010 season, he must be that age or younger on April 30, 2011. For example, a player may play 12U as long as he is 12 or younger on April 30, 2011. Remember, players can always "play up" to a higher age classification, but may never "play down." Whatever age a player is eligible for during the Fall 2010 season will remain his eligibility for Spring 2011.
